Against the majestic mountains and the mighty redwood tree what small, fragile things are we and how quickly our life passes by. Transient– but hopefully a passing filled with life's flowers Like the flight of a butterfly.
I like this-the irrigation channel divides two roads, going in opposite directions. Sort of a metaphor for life-do I tread the straight and narrow or take the road less traveled? (excuse the cliches!)
I like that analogy, as with a closer look and a scrunch-up of the eye it could also be an Ankh – the symbol of life.
My original thought was more mundane ‘beauty out of desruction’ – it’s an excavating conveyor belt dredging up gravel (so himself informs me!) from the lake behind me.
